Groups in Datamars Livestock should match the groups or mobs on your farm e.g. Herd 1, Herd 2, Sick Mob. It is important that animals are placed in the correct group, to ensure the accuracy of your active tag solution.
Notes:
An animal can only belong to one group at a time.
You can only create or modify groups if you have admin permissions.
You can create a new group or move an animal into a different group using the mobile app OR the web app. However, you must use the web app, rather than the mobile app to:
Create and modify group settings.
Set the default group which animals are automatically added to
Delete groups
Move multiple animals to a group in bulk.

To create a new group in the web app:
Click on My Herd, then Groups.
Click on Add Group in the top, right-hand corner.
Name the group to match the group on your farm and optionally add a description. Click Save group.
