Connect your device to a Windows computer using the cable supplied and <a href="https://support.livestock.datamars.com/en/articles/9949721-uploading-sessions-using-the-data-link-app-for-android-smartphone">use Data Link PC software to transfer information on and off your device</a>.

Depending on your device, Data Link PC software will allow you to:

- View sessions on the mobile phone
- Transfer EID/VID pairs to your device
- Save session files to a PC
- Share sessions via email
- Send sessions to Datamars Livestock
- Send sessions to NAIT/NLIS or SNIG

<i>📝 </i>Changes after January 2026 - Datamars Livestock and Datamars Pro mobile app migration

Previously, the Data Link mobile app was used to transfer data off an older model Tru-Test device. However, this was replaced by the Datamars Pro mobile app which no longer supports older products.

Previously, <a href="https://app.livestock.datamars.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Datamars Livestock legacy cloud software</a> was used to track animal weights. However, this was replaced with <a href="https://monitoring.livestock.datamars.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Datamars Livestock integrated cloud software</a>. To migrate to using Datamars Livestock integrated cloud software, <a href="https://support.livestock.datamars.com/en/articles/9879942-creating-an-account-in-datamars-livestock">create an account in Datamars Livestock</a> and contact the support team to migrate your data.
