Tips to resolve common issues when uploading sessions to NAIT

Updated over 11 months ago

Username and password

The most common issue preventing sessions from being uploaded is an incorrect NAIT username and password. The initial error from NAIT may say Access is denied. However, if you continue to try to upload the session, the error will change to Unknown error which means NAIT has temporarily locked your account.

Check your username and password by logging into the NAIT website directly. If you have a problem logging in, contact NAIT directly on 0800 482 463.

Once you've checked your username password, try entering your login details in Datamars Livestock again.

To re-enter your NAIT login details in Datamars Livestock:

  1. Click on Farm Settings in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click on National Registry (NAIT).

  3. Click on Log out.

  4. Click on NAIT settings and complete the details to log in to NAIT again.

  5. Re-try uploading a session to NAIT.

Correct NAIT numbers

Check that you have the correct NAIT sending and receiving numbers for sessions to upload correctly. Contact NAIT directly on 0800 482 463 for issues about your NAIT numbers.

Animals already registered

Sometimes NAIT will provide a logical error which means that the upload was successful, but for specific animals, no changes were required. For example, a successful registration may include the error Animal already registered. This means the animal was already registered and no further action is required.
