What should I do if my PC doesn't have Bluetooth LMP version 6.1 or above?

See the Microsoft article here for information on how to check the Bluetooth LPM version. If your PC has a LPM version lower than 6.1, we recommend purchasing a Bluetooth 5.0 dongle. This will have LPM version 9.0. If you decide not to proceed with upgrading the Bluetooth firmware on your XRS2i/SRS2i EID stick reader, see below.

What if I decide not to upgrade the Bluetooth firmware on my XRS2i/SRS2i EID stick reader?

If your PC doesn't have Bluetooth or the Bluetooth LPM version on your PC is below 6.1, you may decide not to upgrade the firmware on your XRS2i/SRS2i EID stick reader.

When you get to this step in the upgrade process, click on No. Data Link PC software will remember your choice and you will not be offered the upgrade again.

💡 If you decide later that you would like to perform the upgrade, go to Tools > Data Link options..., Connection, then Yes, I have BT. This will mean that you will be offered the Bluetooth firmware upgrade when you next attempt an update.

The Bluetooth upgrade won't start, or it stops unexpectedly

Check your PC to make sure that Bluetooth is ON.
