The Dairy Drafter can be used to draft out animals with no ID (active tag or EID tag).
A 'No ID draft' should be performed every month as part of the farming routine . We recommend that seasonal farmers perform a 'No ID draft' prior to mating to ensure that all animal details are up-to-date in Datamars Livestock.
During a 'No ID draft', the Dairy Drafter will draft out any animals which have not been identified by the time they have walked past two of the three beam sensors.
For animals which are drafted by a 'No ID draft':
Check whether the EID tag or Active Tag has fallen off. If it has, replace it and update the animal details in Datamars Livestock.
If an active tag is offline, it may have a flat battery or faulty sensor. Replace the active tag and update the animal details in Datamars Livestock.
To draft out animals with no IDs:
In the Drafting screen, select a future draft time.
📝 A 'No ID draft' will not work if a draft time has already begun or is in the past.At the top of the screen, observe that by default, animals with no IDs will be set to go Straight through the drafter (i.e. they will not be drafted).
Click on the pencil icon to edit and change the draft direction.Once the 'No ID draft' session is underway, animals with no IDs will be drafted out in the direction you chose, ready for checking and re-tagging.
📝 Once a 'No ID draft' is underway, it cannot be stopped part-way through.
