You can set a default group for animals in the milking herd, animals which have been dried off and for all new animals. When default groups are set, animal group movements will then occur automatically when particular events are recorded, reducing the time it takes to keep animal groups up-to-date.
The Default Milking Group is the group which animals will automatically be added to when a 'Calving' event is recorded and Lactation Status changes to Lactating.
The Default Dry Group is the group which animals will automatically be added to when a 'Drying Off' event is recorded and Lactation Status changes to Dry.

📝 An event can be added to an animal record manually or added automatically if you have a farm management software integration.
