You can delete some data off the device itself (session by session or file by file), but to delete all data off your device, you will need to use Data Link PC software.
It is sometimes necessary to delete all data off your Tru-Test device. For example:
As part of your data hygiene routine after you have transferred sessions to a PC or to Datamars Livestock.
You have finished transferring sessions to a national traceability program and you want to clean out the old sessions so you don't get mixed up.
You are moving to a new farm and you want to start afresh.
You are selling your Tru-Test device and want to wipe it clean.
📝 The instructions below are for a 5000 indicator, but the process is the same for all Tru-Test devices.
To delete all data off your Tru-Test device:
Connect the Tru-Test device to your computer and launch Data Link PC software.
Click on File > Delete information off device.
Click on All information on device, then Next and follow the prompts.
💡To reset a 5000 indicator to factory default settings, press Settings, Next, Next then Service. Enter the password 5000 and press Log On to access the advanced settings. Press Options then select Factory reset.
💡 There is no way to set an XRS2i, XRS2, SRS2i or SRS2 EID stick reader back to factory defaults.
