Ensure that animals are assigned to the correct group in the Datamars Livestock cloud platform.
You can move animals between groups using either Datamars Livestock (web app) or Datamars Pro (mobile app). Changes are saved to the Datamars Livestock cloud platform and are reflected in both apps.
Active Tag solution - Groups should match the physical herds, mobs or pens on the farm e.g. Herd 1, Herd 2, Sick Mob. For more information, see Using groups in Datamars Livestock (Active Tag)
WOW or weigh scale indicators - Groups allow you to track animals from the same stock class against a target weight over a period of time. See Using groups in Datamars Livestock (weigh scale indicators).
📝 An animal can only belong to one group at a time.
📝 You must have admin permissions in order to move an animal to another group.
📝 To move multiple animals into a group at the same time or to archive an unused group, use the web app.
To move a single animal into a group using the mobile app:
Open an animal record.
Tap ⋮
Tap Change group.
Select an existing group from the drop-down list or search for a group then tap Confirm:
To move a single animal into a group using the web app:
Click on My herd then Animals.
Select an animal.
Click on ... on the right-hand side of the animal record, then select Change group.
Select the required group then Save changes.
To move multiple animals into a group using the web app:
Click on My herd then Animals.
Select multiple animals.
Click on Move animals to a group.
Select the required group then Move animals.
📝 If you have a large number of animals you need to move to a new group, contact the Datamars Smart Farming support team sf-support@datamars.com. They can do this on your behalf.
