Tips for earthing (grounding) an electric fence system

Updated over 2 months ago

You need 2 m (6-7 ft) solid-core galvanised earth (ground) rods to ensure that the energy will be carried through the ground and back to the energizer when an animal touches the electric fence. An electric fence will not work without an earthing (grounding) system. The number of earth (ground) rods you need will be stated on the energizer packaging and website.

Watch the video to learn:

  • The correct earth (ground) rods to use

  • Where to install earthing (grounding)

  • How to install earthing (grounding)
