Changing the voltage thresholds and notifications for a particular node (administrators only)

You can override the default voltage thresholds and notifications for a particular fence node.

You may want to override the default thresholds and/or notifications for a particular node. For example, if you have a section of electric fence set to a lower voltage near a roadside, house or where people are likely to come into contact with the fence, you could set lower voltage thresholds. If a particular section of fence does not require monitoring for a period of time, you can turn off notifications for the nodes on this section of fence.

Changing the voltage thresholds and notifications for a particular node can be done in the Datamars Pro mobile app or the Datamars Livestock web app. This will affect all users connected to your farm.

To set different voltage thresholds and/or notifications for a particular node in Datamars Pro:

  1. On the Devices screen, tap Fence Nodes.

  2. Tap on the fence node you want to change.

  3. Change the Warning threshold and Critical threshold, as required.

  4. Tap on the Settings icon.

  5. Switch Notifications On or Off and/or tap Change voltage thresholds, as required:

📝 To return to the farm default voltage thresholds, delete the values in the two fields.

To set different voltage thresholds and/or notifications for a particular node in Datamars Livestock:

  1. Click on Farm Settings, then Fence Monitoring.

  2. In the Individual Fence Node Configuration section, select the fence node you want to change. Switch Notifications On or Off and/or change the Default warning voltage threshold and Default critical voltage threshold for the node.

📝 To return to the farm default voltage thresholds, delete the values in the two fields.

📝 By default, all users connected to your farm will receive notifications for this node on their mobile phone whenever the electric fence voltage drops below either of these figures on that particular node, but each user can change which notifications they receive using the web app.
