You may need to remove a node or gateway from your farm, for example if you want to use the node or gateway on a different farm or the node or gateway has been damaged and you want to remove it from the monitoring system altogether.
📝Once a fence node has been removed, it will return to its sleep state.
📝Once a gateway has been removed, it will be disconnected from the Wi-Fi network.
To remove a fence node from the farm:
Position yourself beside the fence node.
Launch Datamars Pro on your mobile phone.
In the Devices screen, tap Fence nodes.
Tap on the node you want to remove then tap on the Settings icon.
Tap Remove node.
On the node, hold the mag key on the switch symbol for a full 10 seconds until the green, red and blue LEDs flash.
On the mobile phone, tap OK then Yes to confirm.
The node will return to a sleep state and will be removed from the farm.
🤚 If the node is not being used straight away, we recommend storing the node in direct sunlight in order to conserve the battery.
To remove a gateway from the farm:
Position yourself beside the gateway.
Launch Datamars Pro on your mobile phone.
In the Devices screen tap Gateways.
Tap on the gateway you want to remove then tap on the Settings icon.
Tap Remove gateway. Tap Continue.
The gateway will be disconnected from the Wi-Fi network and removed from the farm.
🤚 We recommend that you keep the gateway plugged in at all times, even when not in use.
