Setting up your own Favourite on a 5000 indicator

Set up your own Favourite on a 5000 series indicator when you're trying to record animal information at different times of the year

Updated over a week ago

This article applies to:

  • XR5000, ID5000, JR5000 weigh scale indicators

Favourites are saved configurations which help you with repetitive or specific animal recording tasks. You can set up your own Favourite configurations to make it easier and faster to record animal data.

For example, you could set up a Favourite configuration for pregnancy scanning dairy cows and recording animal IDs, and pregnancy scan results (early, mid, late or empty). Using the same standardised format each time you pregnancy scan means it will be easier to analyse data and make management decisions about calving or dry-off dates.

Watch the video below to learn how to:

  • Check the data fields are turned on in Information to display and record

  • Create a new Favourite setup

  • Start a new session and select the Favourite

In this video, we use the XR5000 indicator as an example. Use the same process if you have an ID5000 or JR5000 indicator.

📝 Before creating a Favourite, turn on all the data fields and settings you would like to use for the favourite.
