Programming the energizer to communicate with a Remote Control Fault Finder

If you are using an optional Remote Control Fault Finder with your energizer, you need to set them up so that they can communicate.

📝 This procedure can only be performed in the mobile app, not the web app.
📝 You must have admin permissions to perform this procedure.
📝 The connected energizer must be registered in Datamars Livestock before you can perform this procedure.

The energizer and Remote Control Fault Finder must be set to the same address setting in order to communicate. The address setting is a number between 1 and 15.

To set the address setting on the Remote Control Fault Finder:

  1. On the Remote Control Fault Finder, press and hold ON, then press Power to enter the Setup menu.

  2. Press ON repeatedly to scroll through the list of setup options until you get to the Address (Ad) option.

  3. Press OFF repeatedly to scroll through the list until you get to the desired address setting.

  4. Press ON. A moving arrow appears on the display. After a few seconds, the handset will switch off.

To set the address setting on the connected energizer using the mobile app:

  1. In the Home screen, scroll down and tap in the Energizer panel.
All energizers registered to the farm will be displayed.

  2. Tap on the energizer you want to change.

  3. Tap on Settings.

  4. Tap Change address.

  5. Select an address setting to match the address setting on the Remote Control Fault Finder.

💡 If your energizer is switching to Standby unexpectedly, a neighbour's remote control may be affecting your energizer. To fix this, change the address setting on your Remote Control Fault Finder and your energizer.
