Removing an active device

Active collars and active ear tags are re-usable. An active device can be removed if an animal is leaving the property or if the active device is to be attached to a different animal.

Caution! Before removing an active device, the animal must be secured in a head bail, lockup, treatment stall, rotary stall or yard race.

To remove active ear tags you will need:

• A Z Tags multi-cutter ear tag remover

• Animal-safe disinfectant to clean the active ear tag and the ear tag remover
