It is important to mark animals as sold or died when they leave your farm. This will keep the database clean and up-to-date.

When an animal is marked as sold or died, its record will remain in the database, but the animal will no longer be monitored. The animal's active tag will automatically be unassigned.

You can only mark an animal as sold or died in the web app, not the mobile app.

To mark an animal as sold or died:

  1. On the Home screen, click on Current Animals to go to the Animals screen.

  2. Select the animal you want to mark.

  3. Click ... on the right-hand side of the animal record and select Mark as sold or Mark as died:

When an animal has died or has been sold, you will also need to remove its active tag. This can be re-used on a new animal or stored for later use.
