To assign an active tag:
1. Tap on the Menu button, then My Devices, Add Device and Active Tag:
2. When prompted, slowly swipe the magnet over the magnet icon on the active tag. The LED will blink twice:
Tip: If this doesn't work, try holding the magnet over the magnet icon until the LED blinks twice.
If assigning an active tag to an EID using an EID Reader:
3. Click Connect EID Reader.
4. Tap on the EID Reader when it appears in the list.
5. If a message appears about Data Link, tap Ignore.
6. Use the EID Reader to scan the animal's EID tag.
7. If this is a new animal, optionally enter a VID and/or LID. You can also select a group to add the animal to.
8. Tap on Pair Animal with Active Tag.
9. Tap on Pair Another One or Done if you are finished.
Tip: If an animal ID already exists in Datamars Livestock (e.g. if animals have been pre-loaded for an integration with other software), the existing animal record will be displayed when you scan the EID. Tap on the existing animal record to update it with a new active tag:
If assigning an active tag to a VID/LID only:
3. Enter the animal's VID or LID number and tap Add new animal.
4. If this is a new animal, optionally enter a VID and/or LID. You can also select a group to add the animal to.
5. Tap on Pair Animal with Active Tag.
6. Tap on Pair Another One or Done if you are finished.
Tip: If an animal ID already exists in Datamars Livestock (e.g. if animals have been pre-loaded for an integration with other software), the existing animal record will be displayed when you enter the ID. Tap on the existing animal record to update it with a new active tag:
