Removing the load bars

To remove load bars from a Prime 4000C or PrimeDraft 4000C WOW unit:

  1. Remove the top bolts holding the platform to the top of the load bars (these should be finger tight only).

  2. Remove the plastic protection from the start and end of the platform (by unscrewing the five screws at each end).

๐Ÿคš Take care NOT to touch the side plastic guards

3. Use a flat crowbar and blocks to lift the platform high enough for poles to be inserted underneath (see next step).

๐Ÿ›‘ The platform is 150 kg (331 lb)

๐Ÿ›‘ Do not place limbs under the suspended platform ever! It could slip and crush you! You can use a flat crowbar to lever and slide out the platform without putting your arms or hands underneath.

4. Insert metal lifting poles under the platform until they reach the other side of the platform/crate.

5. Slide the platform onto the poles, out of the cattle crate.

The load bars should now be fully exposed:

6. Undo the bolts holding the load bars to the bottom of the cattle crush.

๐Ÿ“ There are 4 bolts per load bar, 2 at either end.

7. Tie a piece of string to the end of the load bar cable.

8. Gently pull the load bar cable through the pipework (this step is necessary so that the string can be used as a drawcord to pull the cable back through the pipework once the load bars have been repaired).
