Removing the load bars

To remove load bars from a FlexiMobile 4000C or FlexiDraft Mobile WOW unit:

1. Remove the plastic protection from both ends of the platform (by unscrewing the five screws at each end).
โ€‹

2. Identify the four places where the platform needs to be unbolted from (shown here with two flat pinch or crowbars to be used later).

3. Using a heavy duty bolt tightener tool, unscrew the four securing bolts.

4. Use the pair of flat crowbars to lever up one end of the platform high enough for a round metal pipe to be inserted underneath.

5. Insert a round metal lifting pipe under the lifted cover.

๐Ÿ›‘ Do not place limbs under the suspended platform ever! It could slip and crush you! You can flat crowbars to lever and slide out the platform without putting your arms or hands underneath.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 at the other end of the platform.

The platform will now be resting on two metal pipes.

6. Use a wooden post (or equivalent) to press into the metal depression and pull the cover towards you.

๐Ÿ›‘ The platform is heavy ~150 kg (331 lb) so do not use your hands for this step.

The platform will now "roll" on the round metal pipes, allowing you to pull the platform towards you.

7. The platform will roll along the round metal pipes to reveal the first load bar underneath.

๐Ÿ“ Each load bar is secured with four bolts, two at each end in the rubber feet.

8. Using a heavy duty bolt tightener tool, unscrew the two securing bolts from the first load bar.

๐Ÿ“ After a period of use with heavy loads, the load bars may get stuck on the galvanised metal frame.

9. Use a lever to prise each end of the load bar off the frame.

10. Lift out the load bar and attached cable.

11. Carefully roll the platform in the opposite direction to expose the load bar at the other end.

12. Repeat steps 7, 8, 9 and 10 to remove the bolts and prise the second load bar off the galvanised frame.

๐Ÿ›‘ The platform is unstable and could roll on the pipes, so carefully roll it back into place over the outer frame.

13. Lift up one end of the platform (with flat pinch or crowbars) and remove the round metal pipes, then let the cover drop back into place.

14. Repeat for the other end of the platform.

15. Realign the platform to replace the 4 securing bolts, and tightening using a heavy duty bolt tool.

16. Replace the plastic protection from both ends of the platform (by replacing) the five screws at each end.
