Creating and using a draft (sort) list

Add multiple animals to a draft (sort) list for a FlexiDraft Mobile 4000C or PrimeDraft 4000C

Updated over a week ago

You can select multiple animals in Datamars Livestock and add these to a draft (sort) list for FlexiDraft Mobile 4000C or PrimeDraft 4000C.

📝 Adding animals to a draft list can only be done using the web app, not the mobile app.

The example below shows drafting animals over 450 kg at the next available drafting time.

To select multiple animals to add to a draft list:

  1. Click on Weights then select a group containing animals you want to draft (e.g. Default group).
💡 You must select a group of animals. It is not possible to draft from the All Animals list.

  2. Scroll down to Animals in group.

  3. Click on Filters and set the weight range (e.g. animals over 450 kg). Select a date range (e.g. animals weighed since a recent date) to exclude any animals which have not been weighed recently. Click Apply.
A filtered list of animals is displayed.

  4. Select the animals to draft then click on Add # animals to draft list.

  5. Select a Draft time and Draft direction, then click Add to draft list.
The selected animals should be drafted at the allocated drafted session.

📝 Any animals in the draft list which are are NOT successfully drafted will NOT be added to the next draft list automatically. You will need to manually add them to a future drafting session.

💡 A draft list can only be set up for a maximum of 24 hours so if you need to draft animals over multiple days (i.e. you want animals in several future draft lists), you can either:

  1. In Datamars Livestock, click on Drafting to view all future draft lists. Select a draft list containing animals you would like to draft. Click Export to save as a CSV file.

  2. Send the CSV file to the Datamars support team. Click on the Live Chat bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of this screen or email sf-support@datamars.com.
