Sending a session to NAIT from the Datamars Pro mobile app

Send animal movements directly to NAIT whether you're out in the yards or back at home.

The Datamars Pro mobile app helps you to comply with New Zealand NAIT requirements by allowing you to send sessions to NAIT directly from your mobile phone.

In Datamars Pro, you can perform these transactions:

  • send animals

  • receive animals

  • update status to dead

  • register animals

📝 Before you upload sessions to NAIT, you should enter your NAIT account details.

To send a session to NAIT:

  1. Connect a device to Datamars Pro and transfer sessions to the app.

  2. On the Home screen, tap on Sessions in the app.

  3. Select a session you want to send to NAIT.

  4. Tap Upload to NAIT OR tap NAIT Settings and enter your NAIT details if you haven't done this already.

  5. Select a transaction type:

    • Sending transfer (animals are leaving the property)

    • Receiving transfer (animals are arriving on the property) OR

    • Update status to 'dead'

    • Register animals (for the first time).

  6. Depending on the transaction type, different fields will appear. Make sure that the NAIT number matches the property that the transactions are occurring on. If you are performing a sending or receiving transaction, you will need the NAIT number of the other property involved. Complete the remaining fields and tap Upload.

    The All Sessions screen will update to show sessions which have been Sent.
    You will be sent a transaction receipt from NAIT. Check the summary carefully and resolve any issues with NAIT directly.

  7. Repeat the process for any other sessions you want to send.
    📝 You can only upload sessions to NAIT one at a time.

📝 Only animals with EIDs can be included in a NAIT transaction.
