Connecting to a device and transferring sessions to the Datamars Pro mobile app

Connect a Tru-Test weigh scale indicator or EID reader to Datamars Pro to transfer sessions to the app

This article applies to:

  • XRS2i/XRS2, SRS2i/SRS2 EID stick readers

  • XRP2i, XRP2* EID panel readers

  • EziWeigh7i indicator

*XRP2 EID panel readers are only supported in Datamars Pro for Android

As soon as you connect a device to Datamars Pro, sessions will automatically transfer to the app. Sessions can then be:

  • viewed in the app

  • sent to Datamars Livestock

  • emailed to someone

  • shared via text message or other app or

  • sent to a National Traceability program such as NAIT, NLIS or SNIG.

Sessions will remain on the app until you manually delete them. Note that deleting sessions from the Datamars Pro app does not delete them from the original device or from Datamars Livestock.

🤚 Before you start, turn on the device and make sure Bluetooth™ is ON. Position the device close to your phone.

To connect to a device in Datamars Pro:

  1. Launch Datamars Pro.

  2. On the Home screen, tap Connect my device.

  3. Select the device you want to connect to, then tap Connect.

  4. When the dialogue appears, select the device from the list.
    As soon as a connection is made, sessions will automatically transfer to Datamars Pro.

    📝 If you are logged in to Datamars Livestock, you will be asked if you want to upload bulk sessions to Datamars Livestock. If you have more than one farm, you can choose which farm to upload to.

  5. To view downloaded sessions, tap All Sessions.
