As soon as you connect a 5000 indicator to Datamars Pro, sessions will automatically transfer to the app. Sessions can then be:
viewed in the app
sent to Datamars Livestock
emailed to someone
shared via text message or other app or
sent to a National Traceability program such as NAIT, NLIS or SNIG.
Sessions will remain on the app until you manually delete them. Note that deleting sessions from the Datamars Pro app does not delete them from the 5000 indicator or from Datamars Livestock.
📝 The 5000 indicator creates its own Wi-Fi network to connect with Datamars Pro, it does not rely on Bluetooth™.
To connect to a 5000 indicator in Datamars Pro:
On the 5000 indicator Home screen, press Wi-Fi Send Data.
Press Connect to a Smartphone.
In the phone’s Settings, enable Wi-Fi and connect to the 5000 indicator Wi-Fi network.
Launch the Datamars Pro app.
The 5000 indicator will be connected and sessions automatically downloaded to the Datamars Pro app.
💡 Apple iPhone - Once the phone is connected to the 5000 indicator's Wi-Fi network, the phone will display "No Internet Connection". This is normal behaviour and can be ignored:
