📝 Health issues may not always show up if the animal behaviour has not changed. See Viewing animals with possible health issues.
Where do I see the number of animals with potential health issues?
We recommend using the Datamars Livestock mobile app. On the dashboard, view Health (last 24 hours). This is the number of animals with potential health issues identified during the last 24 hours.
To view animals with possible health issues in the mobile app:
On the Home page, tap Health (Last 24h):
Are you receiving an unusually large number of health alerts?
A health alert may be triggered during significant events, such as drying-off. During this time, animals often exhibit behavioural changes such as feeding less, ruminating less, or changes in lying/standing time. The system may interpret these changes as potential health concerns. The Active Tag system has intentionally reduced sensitivity during these transition periods to minimise false alerts, but you may still see more notifications as animals adjust.
We recommend creating a new group in Datamars Livestock for animals which have been dried off. This will reduce the number of health alerts.
I have tried the above, but am still receiving too many health alerts. Can the threshold for health alerts be adjusted?
If you are receiving too many health alerts and you would like the algorithm tweaked for your particular needs, click on the Live Chat bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of this screen or email sf-support@datamars.com.
