XR5000, ID5000, JR5000 weigh scale indicators
📝 From January 2026, customers with 5000 indicators will be asked to migrate to the new Datamars Livestock Integrated cloud software. As part of this transition, you need to update the firmware on your 5000 indicator using Data Link PC software.
Updating to Version 4.8 will allow you to:
transfer session files seamlessly to the new version of Datamars Livestock, not the old platform.
connect to the Datamars Pro mobile app instead of the old Data Link mobile app.
📝 There is a known issue with 5000 indicators running old firmware (Version 3.6 or earlier). These indicators will require a manual update with assistance from the Datamars Technical Support Team. Click on the Live Chat bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of this screen or email sf-support@datamars.com.

To check the firmware version on your 5000 indicator:
Power on the indicator.
Go to Settings > Next page > General setup > About
Check the software version.
To update the 5000 indicator's firmware, you will need:
5000 indicator with sufficient battery charge
USB cable that came with your indicator
PC or laptop with Data Link for PC installed
