Setting energizer voltage thresholds

You can change the energizer's target output voltage, warning voltage and critical voltage thresholds.

Updated this week

📝 You must have admin permissions to perform this procedure.
📝 The connected energizer must be registered in Datamars Livestock before you can perform this procedure.

You can set the energizer voltage thresholds:

  • The target voltage is the maximum output voltage threshold for the energizer.

  • The warning voltage and critical voltage. If the voltage falls below these thresholds, a notification may be triggered.

📝 Notifications will only be received if the energizer has notifications switched on.
📝 Only users with notifications set up for their Datamars Livestock account will receive notifications.

To set the energizer voltage thresholds using the mobile app:
1. In the Home screen, scroll down and tap in the Energizer panel.
All energizers registered to the farm will be displayed.
2. Tap on the energizer you want to change.

Target voltage

This is the maximum voltage you would like the energizer to reach. Normally, the target voltage would be set to 9.5 kV (31000W and 46000W models) or 10.0 kV (86000W model). However, you may want to lower the voltage in an area where people might be (e.g. around a house or next to a public roadway).

Warning voltage and Critical voltage

You can set two alert triggers (warning voltage and critical voltage) so that you are notified when the current voltage falls below a certain point. Notifications will only be sent if the energizer has notifications enabled. All Datamars Livestock users can set up their own notifications, as required.

💡 You can adjust the warning and critical voltages if you are receiving too many notifications.
