An active tag should be unpaired if you receive a tag off alert and you have confirmed that the animal is no longer fitted with the active tag.

A 'tag off' alert will be sent if:

  • An active tag has fallen off an animal OR

  • An active tag has been removed from an animal but has not been put to sleep.

A 'tag off' alert will be sent within 3 hours of an active tag being removed and will continue you have unpaired the active tag or marked the animal is marked as sold or died.

To view a list of all animals with 'tags off' in the web app:

1. Click on My Devices, Active Tags.

2. A list of all active tags will be displayed. Any animals with tags off will have a State of Tag off animal

3. If desired, use filters to display a list of all animals with a State of Tag off animal. You can then Unpair active tags, as required:

To manually unpair an active tag in the web app:

  1. Click on My Herd, then Animals.

  2. Search for the animal record you want to edit and open the animal record

In the graph you can see when the 'tag off' alert began.

  3. After confirming that the animal is no longer fitted to the animal, click Unpair:

Tip: If an active tag has fallen off but is still in range of the gateway, you can use Find My Cow to locate it.
