Begin by downloading and installing the new Datamars Pro mobile app:
Go to the Google Play store (Android smartphones) or App store (Apple iPhones):

Search for Datamars Pro then download and install the app:
Then follow the steps described here.

If you already have a Datamars Livestock account for Active Tag, Autonomous Weighing, Dairy Drafter/Sort Gate, Fence Monitoring or Connected Energizer products, use your existing login. This will mean that all your farm data will be in one place ๐.
When you launch the app, tap Log in instead of registering for a new account:

A single Datamars Livestock user account can have multiple farms associated. Once you have set up your first farm, log in to the Datamars Livestock web app using your credentials, then in the top left-hand corner, click on your primary farm name and choose +New farm:
Follow the steps to create a new farm.
Now, whenever you transfer sessions to Datamars Livestock using the Datamars Pro app, Data Link PC software or on a 5000 indicator, you will be asked to select a farm.
To migrate data from multiple farms in the legacy platform to multiple farms in the Datamars Livestock platform:
Set up new farms in the Datamars Livestock web app as detailed above.
Go to Menu / General Settings / Begin migration and select a farm to migrate data from and to.

The new app supports these models:
XR5000, ID5000, JR5000 weigh scale indicators
XRS2i, SRS2i EID stick readers
XRP2i, XRP2* EID panel readers
S3 indicator
EziWeigh7i indicator
*XRP2 EID panel reader is supported in Datamars Pro for Android only

I have an older Tru-Test device which is not supported by Datamars Pro. How do I get data off my device?
Some older Tru-Test products are not supported on the new Datamars Pro mobile app. These include:
S2 weigh scale indicator
XRS EID stick reader
EziWeigh7 weigh scale indicator
XR3000, ID3000 weigh scale indicators
However, you can still get data off your device using Data Link PC.

Can I keep using the old legacy platform?
Yes, the old Data Link mobile app and Datamars Livestock (legacy) web app will be available until April 2026. However, because the Datamars Pro app, Data Link PC software and 5000 indicators are now designed to send data to Datamars Livestock (not the old Datamars Livestock legacy platform), we recommend starting the transition as soon as possible so that all your data will be in one place.

When you first log into Datamars Pro app, if the email address used exists in Datamars Livestock legacy platform, go to Menu / General Settings / Begin migration to transfer your old data. Within 24 hours, the migration will be complete and data will be available in Datamars Livestock.
โ The migration service will be available until April 2026. After that, the legacy platform will no longer be accessible. Contact the Datamars support team sf-support@datamars.com with your email address and the name of the old farm in the legacy platform.

You need to update Data Link PC software. Only Version 6.1 or above supports the new Datamars Livestock integrated platform.

My 5000 indicator isn't uploading to Datamars Livestock
You need to update the firmware on your XR5000, ID5000 or JR5000. Only Version 4.8 or above supports the new Datamars Livestock integrated platform.
Download the latest version of 5000 firmware here and follow these instructions.
What happens to my custom data fields?
What happens to my custom data fields?
If you use custom data fields on your weigh scale indicator or EID reader e.g. you have created a custom field to record a particular animal trait (e.g Breed or Body condition score), this information will be available for viewing in Datamars Livestock. If you want to sort data or manipulate it further, you will need to export as a .csv file and open it in Excel.
๐ If a custom field contains weight data, this will be imported as a weight field in Datamars Livestock if it is named "Weight" and is a number field.

๐ก Check the farm settings in the Datamars Livestock web app. If your farm is not set to the correct country, NAIT, NLIS or SNIG will not be available.
๐ก In the Datamars Pro mobile app, check that you are logged into Datamars Livestock first before registering a transaction. If you do not do this, the option to register a transaction will not be available.
๐ก You may need to re-enter your NAIT or NLIS details. See below.
