This article applies to Prattley series 600 autodrafters:

  • 3-Way Swing Gate AutoDrafter

  • 5-Way Swing Gate AutoDrafter

  • 2-Way Electric AutoDrafter

  • 3-Way Slide Gate AutoDrafter

  • 3-Way Electric AutoDrafter

These autodrafters include a PAD6 control box and a 5000 indicator (JR5000, ID5000 or XR5000).

Setting up a Prattley autodrafter is a three step process. You should have already completed the first step - Connecting the Tru-Test 5000 indicator to the PAD6 control box via Bluetooth. This second step is to configure the weighing settings on the Tru-Test 5000 indicator.

Step 2 - Configuring weighing settings on the 5000 indicator

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings > Next page > Weighing Settings.

  2. Select Superdamp 4 (Sheep) or (Superdamp 4 (Cattle) from the Damp System dropdown menu, to match what you are weighing:

  3. A Resolution of 0.5 kg is recommended.

💡 If you are weighing lambs or calves, you may want to use a finer resolution of 0.1 or 0.2 kg if you are weighing. However, be aware that the finer the resolution the longer it will take for the weight be established.

  4. Check that the Load Bar Type is set to Tru-Test.

  5. All other settings should remain with default values:
    Power Up Zero - Enabled
Auto Zero track - On Net
    Reverse Weighing - Disabled
    Set Tare - 0.0 kg
