NAIT error message - failed to connect to web server

There is a known issue with the NAIT server when using Data Link PC software to upload sessions. Here are some workarounds.

There is a known issue with the NAIT server when using Data Link PC software to upload sessions. While this is being fixed, we recommend:

Step 1 - Download a session file in NAIT format

To download a session file in NAIT format:

  1. Connect your Tru-Test device to your Windows PC using the cable supplied and launch Data Link PC software.

    Wait for sessions to be transferred to Data Link.

  2. Click on the Settings (cog) icon in the top right hand corner:

  3. In the File format tab, set the format to NAIT and click OK:

  4. Back in the Home screen, select the session you want to sent to NAIT.
    💡 You can select multiple sessions.

  5. Click on the Down arrow icon (Get information off device). The example shown here is a stick reader, but the same applies for all devices:

  6. Follow the prompts to download sessions to your computer:

  7. Save file(s) to a handy location on your computer e.g. Desktop or Downloads folder:

  8. Click Save then OK:

Step 2 - Upload a session file to the NAIT website

To upload a session file to the NAIT website:

  1. Click on the Import CSV File option:

  2. In the Animal section, select the NAIT transaction you want to record.
    The screenshot example below shows registering new animals to NAIT:

  3. Select the files you saved on your computer earlier. In the example below, files were saved in the Downloads folder:

  4. Once the transaction is complete, a confirmation message will be displayed:
