Datamars Pro (mobile app) makes it easy to assign an active tag to multiple animals. If animals are fitted with EID tags, you will need to pair an XRS2i or SRS2i EID Stick Reader so you can scan the EID tags as you go.
📝 Older model XRS2 and SRS2 EID Readers cannot be used during the assigning process in Datamars Pro.

To assign an active tag to an EID tag using an XRS2i or SRS2i EID Reader

Tap on Devices and in the Active Tag section, tap Add Device.
Tap Active Tag and Continue:

3. When prompted, slowly swipe the magnet over the magnet icon on the active tag. The LED will blink twice:
💡 If this doesn't work, try holding the magnet over the magnet icon until the LED blinks twice.
4. Tap Connect EID Reader.
5. Tap on the EID Reader when it appears in the list.
📝Only XRS2i or SRS2i model EID Stick Readers can be used to assign active tags in Datamars Pro.

6. Use the EID Reader to scan the animal's EID tag.
If an animal ID already exists in Datamars Livestock (e.g. if animals have been pre-loaded for an integration with other software), the existing animal record will be displayed.
7. Tap on Pair Animal with Active Tag to update the existing animal record with a new active tag.

💡 If the animal's EID does not exist in Datamars Livestock, a new animal record will be displayed. Optionally enter a VID and/or LID, select a group to add the animal to and tap Pair animal with Active Tag:

5. Tap on the existing animal record then Pair Animal with Active Tag to update the existing animal record with a new active tag:
