📝 This procedure can only be done using the Datamars Pro mobile app, not the web app.
Registering a connected energizer to your farm in Datamars Livestock allows you to control and view its status in real time wherever you have cell phone coverage.
This is a one-off procedure - energizers only need to be registered once.
Before you start:
There must be a Wi-Fi internet connection in the location where the energizer is installed. If you have not installed a Wi-Fi network, be sure to read Considerations when setting up a Wi-Fi network for use with connected energizers.
Make sure you have installed the Datamars Pro mobile app and registered for a new account.
📝The Wi-Fi network MUST be password-protected or you will not be able to connect to it.
To register a connected energizer to your farm:
Position yourself beside the energizer (within 2 m/6').
Launch the Datamars Pro mobile app.
Tap on Devices, then Connect nearby energizer.
The energizer will be displayed.Tap Connect.
You have now established a Bluetooth connection and the energizer current voltage will be displayed.Tap Add to farm.
Select the Wi-Fi network you would like to connect to, enter the Wi-Fi password and tap Connect.
📝 The Wi-Fi network must be 2.4 GHz, not 5 GHz.Set the energizer location to the GPS location and tap Confirm.
This can be changed later in the web app, if required.Set the energizer voltage and tap Confirm.
