Drafting (sorting) by ADG (average daily gain) using an XR5000 or ID5000 indicator

You can draft animals by their average daily gain using an XR5000 or ID5000 weigh scale indicator

This article applies to:

  • XR5000 and ID5000 weigh scale indicators

You can draft (sort) animals based on their average daily gain. The weigh scale indicator calculates the ADG value for each animal then allows you to draft out poor performers for a health check and extra nourishment.

To accurately assess ADG, you need to regularly weigh the same group of animals over a period of time.

📝 Only the XR5000 and ID5000 models have drafting by ADG.

💡 Before you start, make sure you are familiar with how to do basic drafting by weight.
