📝 This procedure can only be done using the Datamars Livestock mobile app, not the web app.
📝 You must have admin permissions to perform this procedure.
Adding connected energizers to your farm in Datamars Livestock allows you to control and view the status of energizers via the internet. Energizers only need to be registered once.
Before you start:
There must be a Wi-Fi internet connection in the location where the energizers are installed. If you have not installed a Wi-Fi network, be sure to read Considerations when setting up a Wi-Fi network for use with connected energizers.
Make sure you have created an account in Datamars Livestock and installed the Datamars Livestock mobile app on your phone.
Check that the Bluetooth® setting is enabled on your phone.
Position yourself beside the energizer.
To register a connected energizer to your farm:
Position yourself beside the energizer (within 2 m/6').
Launch the Datamars Livestock mobile app.
Scroll to the Fence panel and tap Connect nearby energizer.
The energizer will be displayed.Tap Connect.
You have now established a Bluetooth connection and the energizer current voltage will be displayed.Tap Register this energizer to your farm.
Select the Wi-Fi network you would like to connect to and tap Connect.
📝 The Wi-Fi network must be 2.4 GHz, not 5 GHz.Tap Confirm. This sets the energizer location to the GPS location determined by the mobile phone. This can be changed later in the web app, if required.
Tap Confirm, then Finish. The energizer is connected to Wi-Fi network and the voltage details are displayed.
Once you have registered an energizer to the farm, complete these steps:
Change the name of the energizer so you can identify the energizer and its location easily in Datamars Livestock.
Programme the energizer to communicate with a Remote Control Fault Finder (if you have one).
